Job Description:
Job Summary:
The PT Operations Management Specialist (OMS) is a part-time position and is responsible for updating package information, validating delivery information using UPS systems, scanning premium service packages, assisting dispatch and updating the package inventory systems. This position may also perform general administrative responsibilities including preparation of reports using various software packages, compilation of information from various sources, and handling small scale projects.
The OMS may be required to utilize heavy machinery to complete various package centre tasks, and will be trained to operate these equipment. Included in the responsibilities will be to complete package recovery process in the package centre, package inventory update, overgoods, DG processing and all other work as assigned.
Location: 1845 KRYCZKA PLACE, KAMLOOPS BC
Shift: Monday to Friday, 1:30PM - 6:30PM(shifts can vary and/or extend due to operational requirements)
Responsibilities:
Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries.
Dispatch delivery, pick-up and various package service related information to UPS Drivers in the area.
Generates exceptions, dispatch information, driver follow-up, production, package recovery and overgoods processing reports.
Takes ownership of customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions.
Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends.
Operates all equipment, software, and devices and trains others.
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lift up to 70-lbs unassisted, on occasion
Ability to work in a warehouse operations environment
Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
