Job Summary
The Aviation Security Supervisor plays a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of aviation security programs. This position is responsible for contributing to the creation and communication of security procedures, training materials, audit processes, and quality assurance systems. The supervisor also conducts audits, analyzes security-related data, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify trends and develop solutions. Additionally, this role includes the supervision and support of team members within the department.
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Workdays: Monday to Friday – Flexibility required based on business needs (must be available to work all 5 days).
Shift Hours: Standard business hours – Flexibility required based on business needs (must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week).
Shift Duration: Full-Time (requires flexibility with start and end times).
Work Location: Greater Toronto Area.
This position requires an extended background check that involves 5 years of employment and resident history.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and deployment of aviation security programs and procedures
Support the design and delivery of security training programs and quality assurance initiatives
Conduct aviation security audits and participate in the review of audit results
Analyze historical and current security data to identify trends and root causes
Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Operations, IT, Transportation, HR, and IE
Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
Supervise and guide aviation security personnel, ensuring team alignment with company goals
Contribute to the preparation of security reports and documentation
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Criminal Justice, Security, or a related field(preferred)
This role requires reliable transportation.
Familiarity with aviation industry regulations (e.g., TSA, ICAO, FAA)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret data and audit findings
Experience conducting or supporting security audits and compliance assessments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments
Ability to supervise and lead small teams effectively
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Must be able to pass a background check and meet any required security clearances.
