Job Description:

The Warehouse Management System (WMS) Analyst is responsible for the optimization, configuration, implementation, support, and user training of warehouse management systems. This role involves identifying WMS solutions, conducting testing, and implementing new system functionalities to enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, the WMS Analyst will analyze and report the financial impact of continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Type: Full-Time Permanent

Work Location: 4156 Mainway, Burlington, ON L7L 0A7, Canada

Workdays: Monday through Friday

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 to 9 hours per day depending on business requirements, starting at 8:00 AM 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure business operations align with UPS values of integrity, teamwork, quality, and innovation.
  • Optimize WMS configurations to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
  • Support new business implementations and system migrations by participating in requirements-gathering sessions, translating business needs into WMS configurations, and ensuring system readiness.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify solutions, conduct testing, and implement new system functionalities that enhance operational efficiency.  Including but not limited to WMS/OMS/TMS/Automation.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, oversight, and execution, collaborating with IT, Operations, and Clients.
  • Test and implement new WMS functionalities and improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct end-user training on WMS applications, processes, and best practices.
  • Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving WMS-related issues to ensure seamless warehouse operations.
  • Identify business needs and pilot new systems/technologies to align with UPS transformation goals.
  • Design and enhance WMS functionalities to meet evolving business requirements.

Skill Requirements:

  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI, SQL, and VBA is an asset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Motivated and goal-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong coaching and leadership capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from a Canadian-accredited program or international equivalent (preferred).
  • Preferred disciplines include Industrial Engineering, Management Systems Engineering, and Computer Engineering. Other relevant fields will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant work experience (preferred).

Other Considerations:

  • Must be available to work all five days of the week.
  • Must be able to commit to an 8-9 hours workday within a 40-hour workweek ​
  • Limited travel between UPS sites is required and fluctuates based on business needs.
