Job Description:

Job Summary
This position obtains customs clearance information on shipments via phone, also processes inbound shipments and maintains verbal contact with the public. Thisroleidentifies sales prospects and strategically probes customers for volume expectations.

Job Type: Part-Time / Permanent

Workdays:Monday to Friday (must be able to work ALL 5 days of the week)

Shift Hours:5.00 PM to 9.00 PM(must be able to work a minimum of 20 hrs. per week)

Shift Duration: 4 hours a day (requires flexibility with Start and Finish time)

Work Location:900 HANWELL ROADFREDERICTON, NB E3B 6A2

Hourly Wage:$to be defined

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Obtains broker information on shipment so shipments can be accurately assessed for duties and taxes by the designated broker.

  • Procures information for potential sales leads from UPS freight customers.

  • Sells UPS Brokerage services to suspected sales prospects.

  • Performs administrative duties such as processing qualified sales and resolving customer issues.

Requirements

  • Previous call experience – Required

  • Excellent verbal and written English (proficiency) communication skills – Required

  • Intermediate computer skills: Word, Excel, and Outlook (Microsoft Office) 

  • Bilingual: English (proficiency) and French (intermediate)

  • Previous sales experience - Preferred

  • Typing speed of 40+ words per minute with 90% accuracy 

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision 

  • Strong multitasking skills 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
