Job Description:
Location: 900 Hanwell Road Fredericton, NB
Workdays: Tuesday - Saturday
Shift Structure: Overnight
Shift Start Times: 10PM ATL/ 9PM ET
Shift Duration: 3-5hrs, based on business needs
Hourly Wage: $17.50
The Brokerage Rater at UPS assesses all fees for the importation of international packages.
Interpret data related to product descriptions and calculate applicable taxes and duties. Attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring accurate data correction and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities:
Assess and analyze duties on imported shipments, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Review and interpret product descriptions and classifications for accurate duty assessment.
Calculate applicable taxes and duties, providing clear and accurate information.
Maintain meticulous attention to detail to identify and correct discrepancies in shipment data.
Communicate with customers via email to respond to inquiries, provide updates, and resolve Stay informed about changes in import regulations and duty rates to ensure accurate assessments.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficient in using software tools for data analysis and reporting.
Experience in customer service or client-facing roles.
Strong written communication skills for effective customer interaction.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with customs regulations and international trade.
