Job Description:

This position inputs and processes shipments, in accordance with UPS and local government policies.

Shift Time: Monday to Friday 12 PM - 5 PM shift start (3-5 hours) - flexibility required with Start/End times. Must be able to work a minimum of 25 hrs/week

Location: 550 Hanlon Creek Blvd, Guelph ON N1C 0A1

Key Responsibilities:

• Scan packages as they move down a conveyor line
• Follow directions from scanner on sorting of package
• Able to work at a fast pace
• Able to stand for duration of shift.
• Secondary position is to affix paperwork to designated packages.
•  Able to work on all holidays, unless advised otherwise
• Warehouse experience an asset
• Able to work in hot conditions.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
• Typing speed of 40+ words per minute with 90% accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work flexible shift hours
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs

Compensation and benefits:

• $17.30 per hour, 12 months’ merit increases (annual appraisal)
• Extended Health & Dental benefits for employee and family: Effective 1st of the month following 3 months of service
• 2 weeks’ paid vacation after 1 year of service (3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 20 years, 6 weeks after 25 years)
• Weekly payments/direct deposit – every Friday
