Job Description:

Job Summary

The Auto Mechanic 310T is responsible for the inspection repair and maintenance and diagnostic tests of the UPS vehicle fleet.

Job Type:Full-Time / Permanent

Workdays:Monday to Friday (must be able to work ALL 5 days of the week)  

Shift Hours:6.30 PM to 2.30 AM (must be able to work a minimum of 40 hrs. per week)  

Shift Duration:8 hours a day (requires flexibility with Start and Finish time)  

Work Location:65 TRILLIUM PARK PLACE KITCHENER, ON N2E 1X1

Hourly Wage:$31.00 per hour for 310T license holders

Key Responsibilities and Duties   

• Repair & inspect and maintain UPS diesel, propane, CNG and gasoline vehicles in a regular and timely manner.

• Operate/test company vehicles within the UPS facilities & on public roads.

Requirements

• Possession of a valid Red Seal 310T license - Required

• Clean Driver's Abstract confirming - Required: 

a) No violations/accidents for the current year (last 12 months) and no more than 2 violations for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months) 

b) No traffic violations/accidents within the last 12 months and maximum 5 demerit points for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)

• Ability to lift-up to 70 lbs. (32kg) unassisted. Typical package weight ranges from 25-35 lbs - Required

• Possession of essential Trade Tools and Equipment - Required

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 

• Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills 

• Must successfully complete a Pre-Employment Road Test
